Something I absolutely adore is when a session tells a story. Storytelling photography is magical within itself but when it becomes more than that, when the session flows like silk and the moments bleed into one another so effortlessly you might cry with happiness, thats when the true beauty is made.
In the middle of rural Iceland we came across an outdoor swimming pool, the water temperature so mild despite the chill in the air. Claire and Jordan were up for whatever we wanted to do, so we told a story through their photos. The secret to imagery like this? Just have fun with it, both subjects and the one behind the camera. Get stupid, be silly, be so outrageously in love that you forget about the prying eyes and let yourselves fall in love all over again. Emote, relax, lean into one another. Touch, kiss, laugh till your stomach hurts. It’s more than just photos. It’s the experience itself.
