Pregnancy is by no means all rose-coloured glasses. I know the sickness of the first trimester, the backache, the heartburn, the strange feeling of my body no longer belonging just to me. But amongst it all there was her. Kicking me in the ribs, hiccupping day and night. Understanding each other before we’d even met eye to eye.
