Wild Maternity Photoshoot in the South Down Hills - Micol and Gen

I met Micol and Gen on a chilly November afternoon. The sky was thick with clouds, casting so much mood and atmosphere over the windy hill tops. Both strangers to the area, we wandered round the hills surrounding Devils Dyke until we happened upon this beautiful valley (which of course we ended up exploring).

Sometimes a cloudy session can be a bit of a blessing, in that it forces me to focus on capturing the connection between you amongst the landscape without using that glowing light as a happy distraction. M & G were absolute troopers, abandoning their coats and fully immersing themselves in the cold to capture their love and baby in bloom. We shot until the light fully faded and the chill made my fingers red (talking of which, I should really invest in some decent gloves at some point…).
